Picture this: The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the weather is warm and you’re surrounded by delicious food and wineries in the South Okanagan. Sounds pretty wonderful, doesn’t it? Lucky for you, the 4th annual Pig Out! is coming up on May 2nd from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Covert Farms in Oliver, BC. The signature event is part of the Okanagan Spring Wine Festivals and it’s a popular excursion for locals and tourists alike.
This fun and casual celebration is the perfect chance to sip the latest releases and fan favourites from 36 Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country wineries. Of course, wine always tastes better with a bite to eat, so eight restaurants will be on hand to show off their pig roasting skills while you take in the sounds of local musicians and entertainment in the afternoon. Our own Chef Adair will be on site to showcase his talents and the kind of delicious food that guests and the public can expect when they visit the Wine & Tapas Bar at Watermark Beach Resort.
The theme of this year’s Pig Out! event is “If Pigs Could Swim”. This means that the chefs representing 8 area restaurants will be challenged to create something delicious with pork and things from the water.
One of the best parts of the 2015 Pig Out! is the price – you can eat delicious food and drink delicious wine for just $49. Plus, your ticket includes a souvenir wine glass to commemorate the fun afternoon!
