[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Watermark Beach Resort leads the way in wellness this spring, with the opening of the new on-site Levia Wellness Spa and the appointment of Kelsi Bissonnette as the resort’s new Health & Wellness Coordinator.
Recently recognized as the best beach resort in Canada by Hotels.com’s Loved by Guests awards – as chosen from 20 million guest reviews for the 2,700 hotels on the prestigious website – Watermark Beach Resort is excited to expand its holistic health offerings.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Leanna and Sylvia from Levia Wellness Spa, and Kelsi our new Health & Wellness Coordinator, to the Watermark family,” says Ingrid Jarrett, General Manager and VP of Business Development at Watermark Beach Resort. “They bring a new dimension to our wellness program and reflect the true spirit of the resort by expanding our focus on creating a relaxing retreat for all guests.”
Opening May 3 at Watermark, the brand new spa brings a fresh approach to relaxation, with signature treatments themed around a ‘farm to treatment table’ concept that includes the use of fresh homegrown herbs such as lavender, rosemary, mint and basil in herbal foot baths and body exfoliants. Scrubs are custom blended in-house with pink Himalayan salt or raw organic sugar, and all Levia treatments incorporate the use of the ancient jade stone, which is believed to bring wisdom, balance and peace by relieving anxiety.
The six-room spa is the first venture for owners Leanna Stevenot and Sylvia Calada; two friends that bring a combined 30 years’ spa experience. Named after a combination of their names, and the Hebrew word for ‘to join forces’, Levia Wellness Spa is an eco-friendly spa that uses garden fresh herbs and the organic Éminence products, which originated in Hungary in 1958 and continue to lead the way in biodynamic beauty. Staff will also compost organic waste from the spa using the Japanese method of bokashi, which uses anaerobic fermentation to break down waste into an odour-free mulch.
Beginning with a relaxing sit-down in the spa lounge, visitors can choose to have locally inspired pedicures, body wraps, facials, massages and scrubs in one of the five treatment rooms. Guests can further enhance their stay with a 20-minute mineral bath in a deep soaker tub before enjoying their treatments.

Watermark’s new Health & Wellness Coordinator Kelsi Bissonnette brings a holistic approach to fitness that caters to mind, body and soul. Kelsi has led Pilates and group workout classes for more than two decades, and for five years owned and operated Breathe Studio in Osoyoos – making her the perfect person to oversee the 25 various classes on offer from beach yoga in the summer to meditation, Pilates, spin, TRX and group fitness. Keen to encourage guests on their wellness journey, Kelsi also runs workshops, retreats and seminars throughout the year, focusing on everything from detoxing to creating desire maps and offering activities from pre-golf stretching to SUP yoga. Guests can rent paddleboards and kayaks to explore the lake or take a bike tour to see the scenery at their own pace.
